Cinematographic!

Naica crystal cave, Mexico.
now- i would juxtapose some girls in there!

Mirjana.

Mirjana Jokovic is a young and talented actress that appears in Emir Kusturica movies, most notably Underground where she plays an opportunistic actress.
i ove how she looks. there is that little girl frailness in her eyes.

Sean Young.

I always liked girls that have boys name, and i also like it vice versa. i think it makes one sex more obvious, as it almost comes a s surprise unless you see them first. stronger sex appeal, too.
this is definitely the case of Sean Young.
beautiful Sean started off as a model and dancer in NYC, and later in pursuit of her acting dream, she got her big break (after two smaller roles) in Blade Runner, by Ridley Scott.
her character Rachel, and her beauty, remains memorable.
her role is a fusion of female frailness and the fugitive fear she faces as a humanoid robot...
well- in any case- it just works.
my usual- 'rebellious' streak- wants to give you the pics where she is less severe in that 80s look, and more natural...

Sharon.

OK, who doesnt like Sharon Stone, really?
she is born with that va-va-voom.
something alluring, etherial, dangerously seductive.
she makes the name Sharon sound sooo goood.

now, i have deliberately chosen to post photos of Sharon that are NOT from Basic Instinct.
so we can remember the different Sharon. but always Sharon.

Tony's Girl

Sopranos girl. although anonymous, very alluring!
Sopranos is my most recent obsession. i am taking bets with my friends that if they watch episode 1 series 1 (for those that have never watched Sopranos), they will get seriously hooked.
i know this blog is supposed to be about girls on film. it is. but Tony gives these girls seal of approval.
just like in his bar, Badda Bings.
New Jersey italo mob is the new black.

the Star- Marina Abramovic

more Marina.

i like to talk about Marina Abramovic- she has been the subject of my most recent infatuation, after reading her book, The Life and Death of Marina Abramovic, where is starts with her staged death scene worked backwards.
now, if we are to discuss that femme fatale allure- she certainly has it.
and its communicating without words that is her biggest strength.
she is a cross over between a woman and the supernatural, a nymph tied to human life.
her 3 month long 'sitting' performance at Moma in New York had people respond to her gaze in tears, happiness  and all sorts of other emotional responses as she reflected them and they reflected her back.
such powerful moments.
such a powerful woman.
and i decided to put her on here because she is cinematographic.

she makes her own movie:
Marina.

...more Ziegfield.

just realised Ziegfield would not be him without the glamorous girls...
so i must show them.
this all really shows my rebellious nature of wanting to go against the grain ;)

Ziegfield's Follies

OK, Ziegfield Follies is an amazing mish mash of directing styles, and cast: it remained one of the biggest 'bootleg' of acting/singing talents in Hollywood history to feature in a single movie.
there are even scenes that were deleted to ensure the movie is just over 2 hours long.
inspired by the Paris Follie Bergere, Ziegfield created a magical world of his own, added a dose of the now established and world famous- Hollywood glamour.

the sets, costumes, stars pull...just amazing. it costs Ziegfield $3 Million in those days.
and the Girls on here are truly original Girls on Film.

interestingly, i have chosen images which are very understated for the Ziegfiel's Girls.

enjoy.

Marina. Abramovic. thats all. and a hell of an all.

Alejandro caress.

I have recently met a person who i truly admire.
a moment of intimidation.
star- struck, and tribute respect.
Alejandro Jodorowski.
this is his caress in The Holy Mountain.
apparently, to 'settle' in his role as the Guru in this movie, he wanted to know how this feels.
to share love: he slept with most of the girls in the cast.
one cannot help thinking about this, once you know about it, when you see the movie...
god bless Alejandro. the man knows his stuff.

Not cinema but cinema-to-GRAPHIC.

hard.
tight.
hot.

AZRA- The Time of the Gypsies

I love the name, Azra.  Azra is the character Sinolicka Trpkova played in one of my favourite movies of all times.
The Time of the Gypsies.
the story is based on the tragic story of a young gypsy man's life, his travels and destiny with a beautiful but sad ending.
Azra plays the love interest. my favorite moment is the one where she tatoos her boyfriends name on her rib cage, while celebrating the sacred gypsy st george's day.

Azra. Gypsy charm.
